Behind the Scenes
Bristol Symphony Orchestra Management Committee
Jane Krish: Management Committee Chair
Bristol has been my home for over 40 years and I’ve always taken a keen interest in the City’s arts scene. In the mid-80s, I took the opportunity of being the first full-time administrator, doing everything at St George’s Bristol to help it gain recognition within the City and to establish it as one of the country’s finest music venues. For nearly 14 years from 1990, I was Chief Executive of Wildscreen, the internationally acknowledged leader in the world of wildlife and environment film and TV festivals. Whilst there, I continued to develop the various essential arts management skills the job required of me, and travelled widely.
Following a period of consultancy working with a variety of organisations including Avon Wildlife Trust and the Bristol Ensemble, over the last few years I have been focusing more on my creative self through drawing and painting and exhibiting at the BS9 Arts Trail. In addition, I am an independent adviser to the Bristol Natural History Consortium and am very pleased to support the Bristol Symphony Orchestra.
