Bristol Symphony Orchestra burst onto the classical music scene in 2016, as an exciting new orchestra made up of dynamic and talented players from across the region, and it quickly established itself as a leading ensemble in the Southwest. The orchestra was co-founded by violinists Pam Bell, Rob Tulloh and Aimée Cottam, with award-winning composer and conductor William Goodchild, and is now led by Principal Conductor Robert Weaver, supported by Associate Conductor Dave Ransom.
The orchestra operates on a rotational leadership basis, to ensure that as many players as possible have the opportunity to develop their skills.
